Additionally, you must build military buildings to strengthen your heroes and support them with extra units on the battlefield. The strategy lies in maximizing the effectiveness of your available city space and utilizing it efficiently. The resources you produce in your Capital City serve as the foundation for your overall progress in the game. Therefore, you should not neglect city development and should consistently upgrade your buildings as you progress through the eras in the research tree.

The Buildings tab provides stats for all currently available buildings, the Collectable tab offers information about special buildings you can unlock by collecting and combining puzzle pieces, and the Expansions tab lists all the expansions you can unlock for your city along with their costs.

Homes are the primary source of coins in the capital city as well as the living quarters for most of the workers. They produce coins automatically over time, and increase their rate of production and maximum storage for coins with upgrades to higher levels. The workers provided by Homes are essential for keeping other productions in your city running. As you upgrade your Homes, the increased Coin production will make it easier to afford advanced technologies in the research tree and fund various upgrades throughout your city.

Farms are the primary source of Food, one of the most essential resources for upgrading your heroes. They feature a switchable production system, allowing you to start or stop Food production at any time based on your available workforce. As your heroes level up, the Food requirements for their upgrades will increase significantly. To keep up with these demands, it's crucial to continuously upgrade your Farms in line with your progress in the research tree.

This is where your heroes train, enhance their abilities, and recruit additional units to help them on the battlefield. Upgrading military buildings improve stats of your heroes, strengthen the supporting units and accelerates your heroes' ability training. Note that each military building can only train heroes of the same type as the building itself.

Workshops allow you to craft era-specific Goods using the same switchable production system as Farms. These Goods are essential for constructing and upgrading buildings, researching new technologies, and negotiating in the Alliance Treasure Hunt. The production output of a Workshop can be boosted by nearby cultural sites. Players can access three types of Workshops from the Bronze Age to the Roman Empire: Artisan, Stone Mason, and Tailor. Upon reaching the Byzantine Era, three new Workshop types become available: Scribe, Carpenter, and Spice Merchant.
